Jan. 26, 2014 – Leipzig, Germany – KTM Factory rider Andreas “Letti” Lettenbichler finishes 3rd at the “Kings of Xtreme” EnduroCross in Leipzig, Germany.
The rather intense EnduroCross training in the last weeks paid off with a remarkable podium result for the newly signed KTM Factory pilot. In strong field of international competitors Letti secured the 3rd position behind Kornel Nemeth and Christian Weiß.
Letti reported: “In the training I was facing problems with the combination of the jumps, but it got better lap by lap and I felt comfortable in the last laps of the training and then in the qualifying heats.
The track was very much MotoCross-like, not really technical but still a lot of fun. I won the holeshot of the day which was a nice addition to the whole experience racing at this well organized event in Leipzig. In general the starts really went well, I always managed to come out at least in second position after the start.
In the finals I’ve had two laps where things did not work out the way I wanted them to so I found myself in 4th position. But I fought back and still made it to the podium.
I’m really pleased with the podium result of this EnduroCross since Extreme Enduro really is my focus for the majority of the season. I was feeling extremely comfortable on the bike during all of the heats, it’s great to ride a state-of-the-art bike you can rely on at all times.
Now I’m preparing for the Hell’s Gate Extreme Enduro in the Tuscany on Feb. 15. My first real Extreme Enduro race on Orange!”
